  • 2 lb Beef roast preferably top round
  • 4 Kummelweck rolls
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon Caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup Prepared horseradish

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Season the beef roast with kosher salt, caraway seeds, and black pepper.
  3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing thinly.
  5. Warm the beef broth in a small saucepan.
  6. Dip the sliced beef in the warm broth before placing it on the kummelweck rolls.
  7. Serve with a generous amount of prepared horseradish.
