Ingredients 

Filling

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • ½ cup Milk
  • cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

Crust

  • 2 pieces Pie crusts store-bought or homemade

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Gradually stir in the chicken broth and milk, cooking and stirring until the mixture is bubbly and thickened.
  4. Stir in the chicken and frozen vegetables. Remove from heat.
  5. Place one pie crust in a pie dish. Pour the chicken mixture into the crust.
  6. Cover with the second pie crust, seal the edges, and cut away any excess dough. Make several small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
