Cream of Broccoli Soup

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups Broccoli florets
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- to taste Salt and pepper
1. In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
2. Add the broccoli florets and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the broccoli is tender.
3. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth. Return to the pot.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat through, but do not boil.
5. Serve hot, garnished with a drizzle of cream or a sprinkle of cheese if desired.
