Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold
  • 1 liter vegetable oil for frying
  • to taste salt

Instructions 

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into thin strips.
  2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dry the potato strips with paper towels.
  5. Fry the potatoes in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Season with salt and serve immediately.
