- 1 lb Ham, diced
- 2 cups Dried beans, soaked overnight
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 4 cups Chicken broth
- 2 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
1. In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
2. Add the diced ham and cook for a few minutes.
3. Add the soaked beans, chicken broth, and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
5. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve hot.
