  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Stir until honey is dissolved.
  2. 2. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until foamy.
  3. 3. Add whole wheat flour and salt to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  7. 7. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes, or until doubled.
  8. 8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. 9. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
