- 8 oz Elbow macaroni
- 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
5. Add the salt and pepper. Stir in the cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni. Pour into a baking dish.
7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
