Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 800 g Canned Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ¼ cup Fresh Basil, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the canned tomatoes, salt, sugar, oregano, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in the fresh basil and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
