Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef diced
  • 2 pcs Potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 pcs Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Swede diced
  • 500 g Shortcrust Pastry
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 pcs Egg beaten, for glaze

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine beef, potatoes, onion, swede, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pastry and cut into circles.
  4. Place a portion of the filling on one half of each pastry circle.
  5. Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold over, and crimp to seal.
  6. Place pasties on a baking sheet and brush with more beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
