- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add the applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
