Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe

- 1 head cabbage large
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove core from cabbage and place the whole head in boiling water. Cook for a few minutes until outer leaves are tender. Remove leaves and repeat until all large leaves are cooked.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Place about ¼ cup of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Place cabbage rolls seam side down in dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce and beef broth over rolls.
Cover and bake for 1.5 hours, basting occasionally with sauce.
