Ingredients

  • 4 Green Bell Peppers tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese optional

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stuff each green bell pepper with the beef mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
  5. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each pepper and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
