Ingredients 

Gyro Meat

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Process until finely chopped.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb and ground beef. Add the onion mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Press the meat mixture into a baking dish, smoothing the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
