  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1.5 cups Warm water 110°F
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes until it reaches the top of the pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
