Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce 15 oz
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes 15 oz
  • 1 can Kidney Beans 15 oz, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Pinto Beans 15 oz, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 packet Chili Seasoning Mix 1.25 oz
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion, celery, and green bell pepper to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. 3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, and water.
  4. 4. Add the chili seasoning mix and stir well. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
