Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • cup melted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in the flour until just incorporated. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
