Jamaican Oxtail Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 3 lbs oxtail
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can butter beans, drained
- 2 tablespoon browning sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
2. Add the oxtail pieces and brown on all sides.
3. Remove the oxtail and set aside.
4. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
5. Return the oxtail to the pot and add the thyme, beef broth, and browning sauce.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the oxtail is tender.
7. Add the butter beans and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
