Pork Carnitas Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 3 lbs Pork shoulder cut into chunks
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 cup Orange juice freshly squeezed
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 1 large Onion quartered
- 2 bay leaves Bay leaves
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Season the pork chunks with salt, pepper, oregano, and cumin.
Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add the pork chunks. Sear until browned on all sides.
Add the garlic, orange juice, chicken broth, onion, and bay leaves to the pot.
Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Remove the pork from the pot and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the pot and mix with the juices.
Optional: Spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes until crispy.
