Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Pork shoulder cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 large Onion quartered
  • 2 bay leaves Bay leaves

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the pork chunks with salt, pepper, oregano, and cumin.
  3. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add the pork chunks. Sear until browned on all sides.
  4. Add the garlic, orange juice, chicken broth, onion, and bay leaves to the pot.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  6. Remove the pork from the pot and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the pot and mix with the juices.
  7. Optional: Spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes until crispy.
