Red Beans and Rice Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Red Beans dried
- 6 cups Water
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 Bell Pepper chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 4 cups Cooked Rice
1. Rinse and sort the red beans.
2. In a large pot, add beans and water. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
4. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and bay leaves. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
5. Remove bay leaves. Serve beans over cooked rice.
